Default Why not Rev it?! 350Z!

HI all, I was on I-405 last Sunday, and this silver Z was next to me. Downshifted to 3rd... VTEC...... That guy (about 25-30 yrs old) did not even look at me. Alright.... I slowed down and moved to his tail. High beam flashed couple of times, then moved next to him again...VTEC........ he still had no reaction. O well, I guess he was too concentrated on where he's going, or he refused to race with me.

Anyways, I always wanted to see how S2k performs on the freeway with a Z.

So Z, why not Revving it!

Maybe his car was still in the break-in period. Or his radio was turned up really really loud!

Heck, he may have been thinking, "who is this jerk, revving like he's fast and the furious......i'll just be the mature person on this freeway, and let him do his little thing....i'll keep on driving normal....i'm a safe person....i don't put other people at risk while I drive.....heck, I should have bought a volvo....."

i'm just messin' with ya.....

Silver Z with a middle aged man driving... Sounds like the one I raced 3 weeks ago. I put a hurting on him and his passenger

I would'nt be surprised if he is still picking up his ego off my rear tires

If that were me, the second you high-beamed me, I would have dropped any notion of playing with you.

I REALLY hate that. You have to be pissing me off royally to see my high-beams. But Im a Canadian, maybe things are different here. I cant remember last time I even honked at someone. Its probably been ten years (no joke). Im going to have to re-evaluate some things I think.

It's probably break in, or maybe the Z owner just figures it isn't worth it to race (can't blame him, the cost/benefit ratio for a street race is not favorable). I don't go looking for street races either, but I'll usually take someone up if they show interest and the car seems fast enough to make it interesting. But if someone is being silly, I won't even bother.

My shop is in Torrance about a mile from Nissan HQ and I've seen lots of new Z's driven by a variety of folks (young/old/male/female). I've been stopped at a light with several and none would even look my way when I looked over. Can't really blame them. With the newest "hot" thing they probably get hit up a lot - I know I did when I bought my S2K almost 3 years ago and I ignored most of the antagonists. Still waiting to smoke one in my CRX though. Its much more fun taking on people in the sleeper :-)

I agree if you get next to me and act like a clown by reving or getting on my a$$ I am probably going to get mad. And instead of racing I might want to beat your head in. Now if you ask instead of acting like an a$$ then I will most likely run with you. You look real stupid specially if the other personal totally ignores you when your pulling a stupid stunt like that.

I don't street race... That's not why I bought this car. Some puke gave me the ricer rev at three lights a month ago. He wouldn't leave me alone. I wasn't coaxed into racing him, I wanted to hurt him but his frustration was worth more than a beating to me. I pushed him over the top when I smiled and waved. I love that move.
