Given the way some S2000's are driven around town, I often sigh to think what people must be thinking when they see me. As mentioned, no car make is immune to stupid people and just because some moron in an example of an M3 chooses to be an endangering idiot does not mean it's a pre-requisite in the purchase of an M3.

There are a lot of poor drivers out there today and retaliation will often get you more trouble than satisfaction. It's not that when you exact revenge on the moron that nearly took off your front bumper is going to think, "Oh, I was such a complete idiot to cut you off. Thank you for the demonstration of my wrong ways. I've learnt my lesson from you." If someone pulls something stupid, the prudent and smart thing to do is to give them as much room as possible. Chances are they'll do it again and you don't want to be there when they goof again.

The carnage caused by what I call excessive speed combined with inability and stupidity is causing a bad rep for car enthusiasts. Just a block from my house there have been a lot of traffic fatalities. In one case a BMW 330i took out a traffic light standard at 70+mph killing the occupants. Another day a Jetta VR6 hit a curb at high speeds killing the driver. About a year and half ago a guy driving a Boxster hit a pedestrian at 130mph. When I go for a walk in the nearby park I can find car pieces (found an entire front bumper) strewn closeby the road.

Strangely, when I drive IS300 or Audi, only cars that revved at me were E36M3s. Do I generalize from my own experience? You could look at it that way. Meanwhile, I will just keep on stomping on any E36M3s that challenge me.

Sure, I could come across a fast one sometime. But it will still be fun regardless.
I do occasionally go to DTM meetings and have met some cool E36M3 owners. But that's besides the point. ONLY cars that revved at me so far have been E36M3s driven by young looking guys. That gives me a good enough reason to say what I said. If you met 10 aliens and they all wanted to kill you, would you say, "Naw~ not all of them are like that"?

Let me put it to you this way, M Power.

"I am not too fond of M Roadster drivers either. Whenever I go out for a drive in my SL500, I get revved at by these slow ass BMWs (most of them are slow anyway). Whenever I go out for a drive in my 996 Turbo, they don't even bother (I guess they know better). In my opinion, they are great cars but there are too many kids who want to prove something that they don't have. They are cars with cheap price and kids can afford them now. I guess it's something we just have to live with.

My take on this, stomp on 'em hard...that is until you come across SCed or Turbo Charged ones. Even those aren't too fast unless they are HIGHLY modded.

That was your post, altered with just car names.

If you read this somewhere... wouldn't you think the guy who wrote it was being an arrogant tool?

Well, thanks for starting the name calling.
Let me guess, you don't happen to drive a E36M3, do you?
If so, you are proving my points. I hope you realize that...

In case you respond to my previous post.
Let's stop polluting a good forum with name calling and jealousy.
If you have issues with me, email me and I will be happy to discuss your personal problems with you.

No need. I don't have any personal problems you can help me with. Thanks for the offer, though.

If you're not interested in answering my very simple question, that's no problem. If you want to attribute my motivation as petty jealously, you can rationalize it however you like.

If you don't understand why your first post in this thread generated my response or if you think it was unwarranted, then I think the problem is yours. No amount of emails will help there.

But I'll agree about stopping the back and forth flames before they really begin. I have no interest in starting a tiresome quarrel which no one will want to read. You're welcome to have the last parting shot if you wish.
