Ok So I was on I-20 Heading past the darlington exit tonight when I see pair of HID's with fog lamps. So I'm just cruising in the right lane taking my time with my sister listening to the radio and singing when these lights shoot up from no where behind me. I ask my sister what it is and she said it looks slow. Then I glance over... HOLY SHIT!!! It was a Red Evo 9 MR. So he just cruises by me going 75ish while im in stuck in traffic going 65 with a ghetto truck in front of me. The first chance I get i fly out of there and follow the evo. Then there's like 2 cars following it to make sure I can't pass and I'm like f..... So he decides to fall back finally. He's In the left lane and I'm in the right. By this time I also see that he has a radar!!! Thank god, No chance to get pulled over. We pass the 2 cars that were following him and start the run. We went from 80-120 each time.

1st Run - No One in front of us and we start at 80 and he instantly pulls on me. By 5th I think he had about 2 1/2 cars on me and I started slowly pulling but only little by little. I had let off because of my sister. And when we pulled up beside him, he gave me the !!! I was so excited.

2nd Run - Once again there is no one in front of us. This time I signal to him with my fingers that were going on 3 beeps. One. Two. Three/Vroooooom!!! (He Kinda jumps...) We take off again. Same thing. This time It was a little less of a gap than the first time. He beats me by about 2 - 2 1/2 cars. Once again I pull up beside him and I Yell Out "Those things are INSANE!". He gives me another and I that's all I've been talking about the whole night.

Those things things are just beasts though. I couldn't imagine one with up'd boost. I can't wait to turbo my car now. ^_^

 

Was he stock or did you hear an exhaust or anything?

this is the first time ive actually seen an evo 'move'... And plus this is an MR with the extra gear =/... Actually i think he had an exhaust on as well.

 

a stock evo9 can run as low as 12.8@107, stock. i personally run a stock 9MR to 12.91@106, and from a roll a stock evo9 will take a stock s2k everytime. im modded and i can bearly put 1-1.5 cars on as stock 9 from roll. 9's are no joke, very fast and very underrated cars.

 

Well then you see how I lost then by looking at your mods.

12.8-13.3 bone stock is slow? im scared to ask what you think of stock s2k's?

 

the 9s are fast....especially a RS gutted, i was amazed at how that thing moved...

 

If that was referring to me, I meant nothing close to saying an evo 9 is slow in stock form. I actually wanted an evo before the s2000 and I know what they're capable of. I just wanted to know if he lost by that much modded... or stock.
Evo's with mods get fast really quickly..
