I have seen a few run at the track. Both were right at about 15.0. One guy was only pulling 2.2 60'. Maybe they just weren't broken in yet though...

MDS2K,

Launch:

Depends on you and you're friend's launching ability...I would say that the WRX has the upper hand though...

Rolling:

You should be able to pull on the WRX...be sure to be in VTEC!!!

Freeway:

Same thing...be sure to be in VTEC and u should not have any problems...

Yea, off the line probably the wrx cuz of it's turbo. The turbo on the WRX can push up to 14.2 PSI so watch out (plus the AWD for traction). 1/4? not sure about that, it does have the 230 HP plus the turbo which keeps on pushin. I've read the WRX can do the 14 in 14.2 which ain't bad. I'm guessin the aerodynamics kinda slows it down.

Also Freeway? I wouldn't know that one. S2k's got Vtec but WRX has got the 14.2 PSI turbo.

Stock for stock, the S2K will kill it. From a dead stop, the WRX will lead for a very short while. That's if you launch it like a maniac. From a roll...the S2K will leave it like a bad habit. The WRX weighs in around 3000 something lbs. Let alone 227 rated HP. So go figure...S2K technically is a faster car. It'll take some modding on the WRX beat out a S2K...but it doesn't take much.

I know for a fact that the WRX is not that "Imprezing". I was travelling south on Mopac in Austin last friday evening when a WRX got on the highway behind me ( I could hear him get on so I am thinking aftermarket exhaust or he had pulled one of the cat. converters). He stayed behind me for about 5 minutes. I could see him in the mirror chatting with his buddies so I guess they were discussing whether to give it a shot or not. Finally he passed me at about 70 and slowed down. I waited until we had a clear stretch of road and pulled in behind him. He downshifted and gunned it and I went to 4th (not even in the VTEC at 70) and only had to go about 2/3 throttle to keep up. Finally he upshifted and I did the same (about 8K) and I went to about 3/4 throttle and around him with ease. We started coming up on traffic so I backed off but I had a good 4-5 car lengh lead that was growing when I backed off.
