Well Im not a big fan of street racing at all but I dont like being provoked in any manner. So heres my little kill story of me racing a WRX.

I see a wrx tailgating me for about a mile so I do the right thing and let him pass by. What do you know, that punk goes right besides me and stares at me like I am some freakshow. So I say screw this bastard, I hate cocky people so I follow him when he takes a left. Its a LONGG straighaway in a industrial zone with not a car insight and he starts to drive off fast so im giving chase till im right beside him. Im going 60 and I hear him downshift and immediately hear him chirp his tires and thats when I downshifted to 2nd. I knew I was going to hit redline soon so I waited till the first red line lighted up and bam shifted to 3rd, by this time im already 1 car length ahead of him. I know WRX is notorious for having a weak topend so im still gunning it. Hitting around 8500 in 3rd I immideatly shifted to 4th and I then took a peak at my rear view and saw that he was about 4 car lengths behind. I slowed down trying to give him a thumbsup for a goodrace but that bastard just stares at me and takes a right and speeds off.

Well I just wanted to share, sorry for not beating TOO exciting but I was bored so I posted. This was my first race really so im pretty hyped about it.

 

I wasn't there in Dallas to see it but how do you know he wasn't just checking out the S2000. Maybe he liked it, maybe he doesn't see many of them, and you took it as a "race stare". You followed him when he turned and from the sound of it, you instigated. What else could he do but downshift and fight back. So maybe you do like to be provoked and deep down inside, like to street race. It's ok to admit it. I do. So let me see, you raced someone in a car with less hp and more weight from a roll, that probably was just checking out your car....

 

I was just posting, I didnt need all those negative comments and I can tell when they want to race when they start reving on me. You were not there during the situation so how can you assume he was just checking out my car?

Yes its stock, the only "mods" are some 18" TE-37s which slows me down but its not noticeable at all.

Yes thats what I heard unless a dog was barking behind me.

 

I can chirp my 1999 civic rolling in neutral and then dropping it to drive (automatic). So anything is possible. I chirp my s2k from 2nd-3rd, with bald tires. So no it's not interesting.

LOL just I think the WRX think he faster because of the magazine. But maybe he forget if the WRX is not from a stop it loses a lot of it advantage.
