WS6 encounter
So heading to the downtown bar scene in Springfield, MA at about 10 pm, I pass a late model Transam coming from a parking lot on the right. As I pass, I can see its nostrils poking from the hood
. On a two lane, one way road we were, with me in the right lane. He pulled out behind me leaving rubber on the road, and pulling into the left-turn only lane he went. Light turns green, and left he went while spinning and screetching again. So I decide to go left aswell and catch up to him. There were two more red lights that he had to stop for. At each one, with me behind him, he left some more rubber on the ground and the smell of roasted rubber pouring through my dash vents. I had a feeling he was heading for the onramp, and sure enough he did. I was a few cars back so I nailed it to get even with him. Just as I am about to pull into the right lane next to him, he hits it at about 55 mph. I stayed in the same lane as him and downshifted. I reeled him in and came up on his rear end and walked him on his right side, leaving him a few cars back by about 120 mph.
I slowed down and he pulled up beside me as I dropped my driver's window so he could see my pillar filled with gauges. He gave the friendly
and the wonderful *I cant believe that little Honda took me* look on his face that is unmistakable to us in the import crowd
I gave him the thumbs aswell, because he was driving a nice machine. To the off-ramp I went, and back on in the other direction to get to where I was going before it all took place
I think it may have been an automatic
The last WS6 I raced wasn't auto and had an exhuast and a passenger. That race was closer than this one, with me winning by about 2 cars...
