Default WTF: could not pull on a TT Coup

This is really embarrassing...

Today I went for a blast to our local track. Had good fun, playing with way faster cars.

Feeling well about myself and the car, I call it a day and head home. Its a hot & humid: 108 F and 75% humidity. Anyway, I drop the top, fill her up at the petrol station and head home on the highway.

As I'm driving along, this TT Coup

Turbos are less affected by high heat but my guess is that if he pulled up beside you with a "shitfaced" grin, his car wasn't stock.

Yup, that could very well be it. I could not hear his engine at all, the S is little bit loud with the top down at 75mph+

BTW its a little bit warmer here than in Calgary...

With top up you might have been able to gain a little in 3rd and pull a bit better in 4th. Interesting, though.

your problem is the top. With it down, and speeds above 70mph, it is a real drag.

for some reason i feel that the tt was not stock. from factory they should not be faster. But with APR chip and bigger turbo they actually can keep up with 911s. So yeah, no worries man. u had fun that's all it matters

TT's have upgrade kits that can put them in the 275-280 range very quickly. Even with the extra weight (and you actually were driving from a roll) they can keep up with the S2000. Maybe that is why he was smiling.
