Default Z06 vs Cobra/Firehawk/SS Camaro

Well Sat night we go out and hang out with our friends. One has an older Cobra 94+ body style (modded) and a friend of his shows up with a Firehawk. We were out messing around with a few ricers and it started getting late so we decide to head home. We all get on the freeway and the Firehawk takes off and the Cobra follows. We were like what the hell why not. So were all doing about 90 on the freeway and run into a pack of ricers. The Firehawk doesnt even downshift and is pulling away from them (just looked funny cuz you could tell the Firehawk wasnt trying) Well after about 30 seconds or so of playing with the ricers he downshifts and takes off, so we downshift and follow along with the Cobra, well the Cobra fell back pretty quick and we had open highway ahead of us. The Firehawk got a good jump, but by the top of 4th we flew by him like he was in reverse.

We slowed down to let the Cobra catch up and as we do that we pass a Black Z06, but I guess he didnt want to play We pull off the freeway and the guy in the Firehawk is like damn that car is fast. So we laugh and go separate ways. We pull into In n Out and BS with a few friends and the Cobra goes out to race a Mach 1. Well after they got done racing we head out, as were on our way home we drive by a SS Camaro he was gonna turn left, but he decides to go right and follow us. He hung back for a bit, then started coming up pretty quick, We could see his lights raise up and he starts comming up fast so we downshift to 3rd and floor it, he was about 2-3 cars back and at about 5th gear we had 7 cars or so on him so we let off. We pulled off and 2 cars pull in, the Firehawk was behind him, (my wife was driving) the guy in the Firehawk says man dont mess with this girl, she kicked my ass on the freeway The guy in the SS was like that car is pretty fast. LOL, Anyways it was a pretty fun night, not that often that you get to run that many fast cars.

nice.

your Z modded? i had a pretty god race with a stock 03 in my VR4. what made it interesting is he was the original owner of my car and traded it in 5 years ago. he had no idea how i was able ot keep up with him. LOL

keeping up in my eyes is him only pulling 2 cars from 20-160. ive run dead even with an LS1 SS that trapped 114. those Z06s have incredible pull above 130 compared to a camaro. LOL

All we have is an exhaust. Thats pretty impressive that you could keep up with a Z06. You must have some nice"bolt ons"

On a turbo car, everything is a "bolt-on"!

when "bolt-ons" is in quotes, you know the term is being used loosely

seriously, when a turbo car owner says bolt-ons, that could mean pretty much anything. Not many go into the internals on a turbo engine, and if they do, they aren't shy about it. "Bolt-ons" on a turbo can get pretty crazy.
