While cool and all, I've never understood the desire/want/need of having something like that in an automobile....especially a sportscar.

I've always subscribed to the philosophy that if you can't read a map and navigate yourself somewhere without the assistance of a silly computer then you don't need to be on the road in the first place. Just another useless thing, IMO, to take your mind off where it needs to be. Why not just run a Mapquest before leaving wherever you're at?

The only place I see them as particularly useful is in rental cars where you might be driving in an unfamiliar area.

Looks good. I wish we had that options here in the states.. Instead of looking down and trying to find a map while your driving, and when you do find it, trying to find the exact location where your at, just look at the Navi. I don't feel it's a necessity but it's definetly worth it to me.. My next car should have this option. That's one of the down sides of buying the S. Everything else is great!!
My dads '03 Navigator has this and it helps immensly on trips. Of course he travels a lot, so it helps more.. Maybe in a city like Houston where I know all the streets off memory, it wouldn't be so helpful.

Kind of funny, it looks like it's facing away from the driver and more towards the navigator, eer, I mean passenger.

Hmm interesting. Someone correct me if I am wrong but didn't the old JDM Navi frames aim the LCD toward the driver? Now it seems to aim it toward the passenger side. Or is that just the angle of the picture?

It *does* kind of break up the extreme austerity of the center dash. But navi is pretty bling for an S2000-- and I use "bling" in the pejorative sense.

Great point EVAN_In_A_SPA, it probably would look distorted. That navi screen seems like somewhat of a great spot for a VAFC to me.
