Default ***WARNING***

It's a bit of a long story, but, stay as far away as possible from buyclutch.com!

I recently bought aan S2000 over here int he UK and with it was supplied a brand new 'S2000' clutch, bought from buyclutch.com. I went to my local garage to have it fitted, only to find out it wasn'r an S2000 clutch, it was totally the wrong size. None of the parts from the kit fitted the S!

I contacted them, at first they ignored me. I eventually got a reply and they wanted me to email all of the details. This was 1 week ago. Still no reply! I emailed them again as I want a refund of the $480 they charged. The clutch I have is totally useless to me.

So, a word of warning, please do yourself a favour and don't buy from buyclutch.com.

Anybody - where do I stand legally on this, before I contact my solicitor?

Nick.

Try to resolve the problem with this company. Some business's are slow to react and I know this is not an excuse but still all too common.
They should be willing to exchange for the correct part at minimum which should be easier then recieving a refund. Good luck

I bought the car and they gave me the clutch with the car. It had just arrived from the US. It was in the original packaging with the delivery note and invoice. The invoice said on it 'Honda S2000 clutch kit'.

I don't think the guy knew it was the wrong clutch as he wasn't going to let it go with the car. He was going to sell it seperately, however, I managed to get it in with the deal.

Where do I stand legally? I'm not up to speed myself on US law!

Edit - The guy who I bought the clutch from paid buyclutch.com directly. (I wish he had just ordered it from hardtopguy!!!!)

You did not buy the clutch from the company. They owe you nothing. That is a fact. You have a contact with the seller of the car. He had a contract with the seller of the clutch. So as I see it, you are SOL.

If it's not an S2000 clutch, they may still exchange it for you. Are there part numbers on the invoice that match the clutch you recieved?
Your best chance is that the invoice is incorrect.
