Default The *1st* MY04 to get PULLED OVER!!!

Here is the story:

I was on the 405S Freeway this morning with a client, and he wanted to know how the car was. (He was thinking about buying it). So I took the car to around 85+ from a 60MPH Vtec. 30 secs later I saw a red light behind me, and I knew it was over.

Cop: DL and Registration/ Insurance.
BC: Here is my DL, Insurance, but not sure about the registration (just bought the car)
Cop: (looks at the windshield)
Cop: Do you know how fast you were going?
BC: Must be 80+ for you to pull me over.
Cop: I got you at 90+
BC: Well Officer, I don't know how fast I was going because I was speeding, but I just got this car, and just broke it in, and got carried away along with my client. He wanted to see how powerful the car was.
Cop: Do you know what happens if your tire blows @ 90?
BC: Cause an accident and hurt others.
Cop: and..
BC: Go to jail
Cop: AND...
BC: Get hurt?
Cop: Yes. You're going to be dead and if not, I'll take you to jail.
BC: Like I said officer, I just bought the car, and just broke it in, and I got myself carried away.
Cop: I am not going to give you a ticket. Easy on the gas.
BC: Thanks (Shook his hands)
Drove away.

My conclusion:

Sometimes "honesty" to a police officer pays off. When I was pulled over, I anticipated a ticket, and was ok with the idea, because I did speed. But I guess, that I did not resisted him, nor gave him some lame excuse ie: late, bathroom, work etc. and maybe that was the key to my freedom.

Well, drive safe everyone, BTW: I left my radar in the other car

Safe vtecing!!

Honesty always helps! If you admit you were wrong, and you act mature about it, the cop will work with you. You may not always get out of a ticket like you did here, but you'll almost never receive a ticket for how fast you were actually going.
