If you drop the clutch at 7000rpms I'm sure you can do it in ~5.5 secs.
If you don't launch the car that hard 6.2 secs.

Enjoy your car!
I'll say again. It amazes me how many people just jump on someone when they talk about the S2000 in a straight line speed situation.
There is NOTHING wrong with wanting to know the performance of the S2k in a straight line. The fact that this car handles well AND can bang out a 13 second pass is awesome.
We all know the forte of the S2k is handling. But so what if someone wants to know what it can do in a straight line? I run my S2k at the 1/4 mile, and know several others that do. It's fun and I enjoy it, so why the hell does everyone have to jump on someone whenever they inquire about straight line speed? If you aren't going to contribute to the thread constructively, then do us a favor and move on to the next thread without replying to this one.
As for the entire "yeah you'll need a new clutch and diff soon". Any car can have problems, and I don't think the S2k is any more prone to this kind of damage than your average joe running his civic or RSX or mustang on the track.
I ran my first S2000 into the ground. I beat the SNOT out of that car. OVER 1000 clutch dumps easily. Over 100 runs at the track, street races almost every weekend, and I NEVER had a problem. For 40,000 miles that car went trouble free. I even pulled the clutch at 32k and it hardly looked used at all. In fact me and the mechanic were surprised at how good it looked. My diff was also in just as good condition. If you know how to race this car, it can handle the clutch dumps just fine.

Anywhere from 5.2 to 7.0 depending on driver & conditions...
