So the AP1 should have a noticably beter 0-60 time. The rev limiter on an AP2 is really close to 60, but it may require a shift. This will add time.

You guys must really be burning the OEM clutch to bits to launch hard enough to pull a sub 5.4 second 0-60mph time.

Aftermarket clutches would disqualify your times from this thread.

which is why 0-60 times are a very poor measurement for actual performance.

Indeed. It's a selling point to cars to show off their performance capability, but in reality it really doesn't tell much of a story if anything. Basically it's good advertisiing, and fools people into thinking it measures more about a cer's performance then it really does. Now if there were 0 to 60 races at the track like the 1/4, then we are talking. There's just so many facets of straight line racing. 1/8th mile 1/4 1/2 rolling street starts, highway, ect ect.

I watched a race with an STI vs a GTO in a straight line. The STI has a better to 60 time, and similiar 1/4 mile times when looking at all road tests that have been performed. One can believe the STi is faster right? In 0 to 60 and 1/4 mile, perhaps. That's All. The race I watched, showed the STI pull out of the gate with that AWD fast, the GTO stayed with it, then about at the 1/8th mile point that bad boy GTO came charging hard. They raced about 1/2- 3/4 of a mile I'd say. By the time they got to the 1/4 mile mark, they were even, after that, the GTO absolutely BURIED the STI, and by the time the race ended it was a joke. I just used that as an example as how you should not read into 0 to 60 and 1/4 mile times too much. There are just so many other varibles, and 0 to 60, is one of the least important ones.

Just get some 4.57 gears and pull under 6 seconds without launching.
