01 w/ 7k miles or 02 w/ 16k?
i completely agree with KLN. I have a MY00 with 16k miles...13k when i bought it. 9k mile difference doesnt matter on a Honda. If you checked them both out, and they are both in good condition mechanically, then get the 02, i dont like my plastic window. A better stereo would be nicer too. In my opinion, get the 02, i would. -Chris

Yes, get the '02!
But then, it REALLY depends on who the previous owners are. Some of owners have abused their S2000s to DEATH, even at 16K miles. 16K miles of tracking is death to the car.
CHECK THEM BOTH OUT CAREFULLY! Don't just look at the years alone.
A lot of S2000 owners are avid drivers. They track their cars a lot; mis-shift; drive the heck out of them; beat the shit out of them; basically any goes with the S. With a car like an S, it's better to buy it new or know what the car has been through.
My advice is most helpful to you, since I'm being honest, and not just telling you about their differences and which to get, unlike the others.
