Default '02 Ordered Today!

I put in an order for an '02 S2000 today at Jay Honda, Bedford, Ohio . $600 under MSRP ($32240), with HardTop, Engine Block Heater & Car Cover for Dealer Internal Cost (it helped that my best friend brought me in there - he's bought his last 8 or so cars from there, so they treated me well). I'm not taking delivery until at least March, though, (after the main part of our Ohio winter is over), so I've got a loooooong wait ahead of me.

Color not quite decided - I've got until about Jan 1. I'm waiting to see a red interior in person , and also want to see the Suzuka in person before I commit.

So it's either :
Silver/Red
Silver/Black
Black/Black
Blue/Blue

Choices, choices.........

So jealous.

I'd say Suzuka Blue or Black/Black.

Snow clearing, sun shining, top down spring driving. What a way to break her in.

Do they salt in Ohio (or use sand) on the roads? If salt you would want to wait until the snow clears anyway right?

Congrats, sounds like you got a good deal. I wish they had s2k's that low (w/hardtop) here in Texas.

As for your color, i think you should go Silver/Black. Because well, have you seen the new red interior? Its your call on the red interior.

I don't know about aftermarket rust proofing. Sure it will help fight the corrosion but it will also fill your car with holes!

Winter driving in salt compared to sand makes such a huge difference on a cars life. Here in Ottawa the city go crazy with salt and ANY car driven in winters will surcome to rust (corrosion) well before its time.

If you plan on extended ownership of the S2000 I would suggest continuing to sacrifce the Prelude in the salt.

just my $0.02

enjoy.

Congrates JonasM!!

My wife and I each have an S2000. Both MY2001. The first one we took delivery on 2 days before Christmas and put it in the garage until spring. We got the second one in March so it took to the road quickly. This summer we both had a great time driving them. We will drive right up to the first snow. These are just great cars and fun to drive. Good Luck.

That sounds like a good deal. I am originally from Youngstown, Ohio so I understand not wanting to drive it until April or May. I know you will enjoy it no matter which color you choose.
