Default 02 S2000 170K Miles

Whats going on guys..
well in the search for another s2000 to replace my MINT 02 NFR i sold. I am searching for another one and, i came across an 02 SS for 7000 with 170k Miles. Clean title No accidents and runs good all claimed by the owner. I am not one to worry about miles or anything im a tech so i know what to look for of course. My question is i see some owners here over 200k Miles. Is this a smart decision to buy a car with so many miles? Only cons are the miles and i really didnt want silver but for the price i mean i could get another OEM hardtop, Suspension, Wheels and, maybe go ARMY GREEN ..so please chime in lmk what your opinions are.....thanks

If you have reservations about it then look for another. These days deals shouldn't be too hard to come by.

well basically my previous s2000 was MINT. I dont wanna spend that kind of money again. So im actually trying to find a theft recovery for a great price. Im gonna check the car out and see the condition idk miles dont really bother me anymore. The private party value is about 7-8300k so its fairly priced for the mileage

Go look at it, go drive it... you're a tech after all. You will be running into parts wearing out though, so keep that in mind.

It all depends on your cash flow. If you don't want to spend much up front, but are okay with purchasing parts (differentials, mounts, suspension, etc.) and the associated down time for the car, then go for it.

I personally wouldn't if:
1. It was my only car
2. I was planning on putting more than 12k miles per year on it.

I wouldn't. You can find an S with ~90k miles for $8-9000 if you shop around. I would spend the extra cash for half the miles. If the car was $5000 at 170k, I would say go for it.
