02 Transmission ???

Going from 6th to 4th, I got 2nd by accident the first time driving my 2002. It was at low speed though. I have learned to let the shifter self center and then I never miss a gear.

you need to be more careful or your tranny might blow!

Well I suppose changing the shifter is another approach to preventing missed shifts. I had thought of the previous discussion about lock-outs and that's what I was responding to.

I hadn't thought of this. It wouldn't properly be said to prevent missed shifts, maybe to reduce them. "Reduce the risk"? We'll see.
