After looking at Keller's pics of his '02 Black/Red, I was pretty scared of the Red interior until today. Today I brought my lunch, so had already eaten, and was sitting at my desk going, "man I *need* to go for a drive in my S2k". So, I take a little cruise here in Alexandria, VA. and come across a Honda dealer. I pulled into the lot and saw 2 filthy (dirty that is) '02 S2K's that had apparently just gotten off the truck. Anyway, one was white/red and the other was silver/black. I was specifically interested in the white/red, so was poking around it.

Now on to what I came here to talk about....the color. The red interior looked surprisingly good! I was prepared to be repulsed by it, but it's actually quite nice looking. Hope this brings comfort to those of you that have one on the way. We all know about how the Silver/Black looks from airgate's detailed thread.

Now here's the ridiculous part of the story. A salesman approached me and I asked him how much were they selling them for...get this. MSRP + $7000 markup. I laughed and told him that was ridiculous. He laughed with me as he was foreign and apparently didn't understand that my laughter was directed to him and his dealership :0 He then asked me if I wanted to buy it about 3 times after I had already pointed to my new '02 S2K about 3 cars away - brainless.

That is a man who is seriously on CRACK!! $7000 over Man I'm suprised you just didn't turn around and leave. But you know the messed up part--he is going to get some sucker to buy it for that price! I like my White S but seeing the Blue--I would go for it. Did the all red compliment the white or did it look to busy?

 

I would think that the all red interior would be a natural with the white exterior. I've got to get out and see some of the 02's.

 

Yeah actually the red interior flowed pretty smoothly with the white exterior. I wouldn't totally rule this color scheme out!

 

you had to figure that with the new 02s coming out that the dealer mark ups would come back...give it a couple of months esp with winter and bad economy and msrp will be the thing again
