Default 03 5th to 6th gear notchiness

I have a 03 that I'm having difficulty shifting to 6th. Just wondering if anyone else has the same problem. Luckily no 1 to 2 grind yet.

My '03 is not smooth on the 2 - 3 shift until the transmission fluid warms up. However, 5 - 6 is always butter smooth.

Suzuka 03 here. My car doesnt exhibit any symptoms similiar to yours except that mine is notchy goin back into first before the transmission fluid is warmed up. Once that happens everything is smooth. I do suffer from the 2 gear grind from time to time.

I have a hard time getting mine into 6th, but that's just me. That shift is at an awkward angle as far as my elbow is concerned, so it takes me a long time to make the shift. Meanwhile, the revs have dropped too low. I'm working on my technique. Any suggestions on how to improve?

My '03 is smooth in all gears once the fluid is warmed up, I haven't ground a shift so far... ~1,000 miles.

1-2 and 2-3 is a little notchy for the first few minutes of driving.

My tranny (or diff?) makes a weird sound if I try to start in 2nd from a stop. I don't do that often. The sound isn't something I have ever heard on any other cars before, it's hard to explain. Sounds like two metal plates sliding against each other during the low RPM range.

btw i feel that the 4th to 5th gear shift takes the most concentration, it feels awkward for me since i have to move the shifter all the way to the right and up...

4-5 shift is definately the most difficult in the. 5 seems far away. I also have noticed i mishift 6 to 5 sometimes shifting into 3 accidently. Thank god our redline is so high...lol
