The fix was in for the 2002 model year. Some early 2002 cars still have the issue. My car is an early (Jan.) 2002 but, dose not have the issue. I have never been in a 2003 S2000 with the buzz problem.
The only cars that I have been in that have the buzz issue have been 2000 and 2001 cars.
Some cars have the buzz and it is not that bad others that I have been in have been near unbearable.
With my experience with the buzz resolution, it has not been a clutch related problem but, a transmission problem.
If you are not the original owner of the car, it is possible that the transmission has been replaced with an older model. It is also possible that the clutch has been replaced with an aftermarket.
I have driven 2002 + cars with a more aggressive clutch that have a slight buzz on deceleration, not bad but, still there.
