6.5% is garbage. I got 3.9% on used. They can do better on that.

I paid 25k for a 2000 red with 14k miles on it at 3.9% financing with 3000 dollars down. right at 400 a month plus the warranty and what not. Suggest you go with used. Save yourself a bundle of money, for the same car.

You folks are not starting with the correct loan amount.

I did the same, 1/2 downpayment for 60months at 3.49% honda finance came out to 293.99 a month.

You really have to focus on getting like 1,500 off MSRP and get a lower APR. 6% is highway robbery unless your credit sux!

In Dallas, I got 200 over invoice and 4.9% 48mo financing on an 03 model. Don't settle for MSRP.

I like dis thread... im in a similar situation... i wanna down 15 g fo 60 months fo new 2003 s2000... but my credit isnt dat great (not bad or anything just not much credit history). Insurance is expensive so I need as low a payment as i can get. I was wondering wut kinda of rates for apr financing a person my age can get (im 20) from either honda finance or sum other option (credit union, etc) .. thx dis board is very helpful and informative.

Umm....don't mean to crash the party, but you guys are comparing current auto loan rates to what was stated in a thread last December.
