03 vs 04 poll
Given the choice to buy a new MY 03, a new MY 04, MY 04 with the 2.0 engine, or a new MY 03 with the 2.2 engine, which would you choose. Assume everything else is the same as it is in each model year, same price for all three choices.
OK, question....how you gonna get a MY03 w/2.2L engine? That was only available in the MY04+
Other then that, I would highly recomend you taking them for a spin and deciding for yourself. I mean we wont tell you what kid of underwear to get

I purposely bought my new '03 silverstone about a month ago and was kinda hurried at it because i didn't want to buy the MY04... It was one of the last Silverstone/All Red in the area and i prefer the overall design of the 03 more so than the 04... especially the front grill... the grill on the 04 looks like a fish hehe and i prefered the unpainted area around the exhaust rather than the paint matched on the 04... and the 9000 rpm on the -03 and previous were too tempting to allow to pass. Overall i'm so happy with the s2... though i'd also be with the 04... i just liked the 03 and previous years more and believe they are the true roadsters. Having a Jeep Wrangler as my previous vehicle i know what a pain plastic windows are, so i like the addition of that in the 03+ models.
04 benefit: nicer stock wheels, and other stuff.

Yeah baby!

If it's the same price, I'd go for the '04. I'm all for more torque and faster acceleration (yes I'm aware this is still under debate). A redline difference of 8k versus 9k is negligible in my book.
Given the real world price difference between an used '03 and a new '04, however, I'd have to think about it.
Now, given that I currently own a '02 model, I'm not going to fork over the extra cash to upgrade to a '04. For me, the differences between the two aren't enough to justify spending the extra money to update.
