I will be posting a full DIY thread in UTH. But, the center console fits without any problems. You have to skeletonize your old old console for screws...no big deal. You also need a new hazzard light button. The defrost does not have a plug, but it will be easy to dremmel a space for it between to two buttons vs. going without.

The install is really easy. Anyone wanting this should PM hardtopguy ASAP. IMO, its a great convience mod. The sliding lid is pretty damn cool (I am easily entertained). Also, if you have a 00-01 and don't have a Ricks leather console cover, this easily hides the nasty looking carpeted console. If you do have the console cover, it slips right over it.

Once again, thanks to hardtopguy. He beat the other prices I was quoted and shipped immediately.

 

Did you have to modify the arm-rest?

Steve, how much did you pay? Any idea how much the new hazard button will be?

 

I'll have to check.... forgot, but I think around 130 or so. I don't know about the hazzrd button, but it sholdn't be too much and I am sure Jeff (Hardtopguy) would work something out since your buying the console.

intresting, i guess it would look better if the radio door was changed at the same time so it matches the aluminum color....

i wonder how well the silver paint will hold up....
