Is the leather elbow rest area of the center console able to be removed independently of the remainder of the center console or is it all one piece? Is it just a force fit ?

I am trying to run wires through the center console for a custom Satellite radio install !

You can run them under the center console. And Yes, that is a seperate piece. However it is connected to the console as a whole with screws. So you have to remove the whole console first before you can remove the armrest. It is also sold as a seperate part too.

Is the center console just held in place by tabs or are there screws?

 

It is held inplace by tabs.
