I centerpunched, then drilled the (2) outer holes from inside the trunk (at the indented area.)

I then tried to line up the trunk spoiler before drilling the center holes and OMG!!! these holes are off 1/2 in on each side !!!

The date stamped on the lip in 06-28-2000.

Did Honda change the width of these rear trunk spoiler for MY04 ???

Did Jeff (Hardtopguy) send me the right one ???

I didn't know they made a rear lip for s2ks. The pre-04 lips don't fit 04's. I have an 04 with a lip on it.

Sorry...I've edited to read "rear trunk spoiler"

Not "rear lip"

here's the link for the 04 instructions from H and A

http://handaaccessories.com/S2000/s2kspoiler.pdf

I'll be picking up one this coming tuesday and doing the install myself (lemme just say that I think the front lip spoiler is definitely much easier than the rear trunk lip - no drilling on the front ) I'll let you know how mine turns out good luck!

Problem solved.

Just needed to dremel out the outside holes a bit more.

A little unsettling drilling holes in your baby....sorry for the panic.

Look great !!!

Does anyone know what those added "heavy duty" trunk spring rods (included in package) are for??

Do these need to be installed???
