04 s2000 has traction control?
Didn't all the Ss have LSDs? A limited slip differential isn't traction control by the sense of a computer taking over. It's more for performance and keeping the rear wheels spinning the same speed isn't it?

Most cars have an open differential. This means it transfers all of the torque to the slipping wheel.
Ex. You've got one wheel on ice, with an open diff, you'd be stuck.
A limited slip "limits" the amount of torque transferred to the slipping wheel, so you always have some torque applied to the gripping wheel.
Ex. With a limited slip, the wheel on the ice would be slipping, but you'd still be moving forward since some of the torque is still tranferred to the gripping wheel.
LSD + Loose surface roads = Serious fun (but you better be quick with the steering).
