Does anyone even read my posts? maybe this is why there are so many people who can't break 13's in the 1/4 mile with their S2000's. there is no set rpm to launch at. EVER. SOOO many things affect traction conditions.

tire temperature, track surface temperature, track makeup/composition, ambient temperature, ambient humidity, tire pressure, etc.

All these variables and some people seem to think that if you just go ahead and dump it at a set rpm you'll do good. and then people wonder why they can't break 13's? If you aren't getting AT LEAST a 2.1 60', then you are not getting a good launch.

anyone who is a GOOD DRIVER will tell you, there IS NO SET RPM TO LAUNCH AT. EVER. if they try to tell you that launching at 5500 or 6000rpm is the way to do it, then chances are they have never broken 13's themselves and are incorrect in their statement.
A well driven MY 04+,should dip in the 13's.
Hope after that,we' not back to:Ap-1 vs AP-2,wich is fastest.
But I heard,from a cousin of mine,who happens to know someone,who works at Honda,that the 06,were supposed to be faster,because ..............

we have Dyno proof that a stock ap2 puts out about 220 to the wheels where a stock <04 puts down about 205

why do people argue with facts

so now i am reading two opinions on this delay valve...one says get rid of it and the car will seem better and if i wanted to burn rubber i could do it without frying the clutch...as much. the other says it is purposeful and honda put it there for a great reason, one of superior engineering and such, do not remove it...i am confused...i will leave my car stock in this sense for now...i have no problem with launches or driving it...sure there is a noticeable momentary delay if you think about it...but it is not enough of an issue for me now?

what is is? i trust the engineers in this case till proven wrong. oh...i can't say which is the best rpm to launch either.

And if you are not feeling the delay valve on launch then it seems to me you are hitting the RPM (whatever that happens to be based upon conditions - right Matt?) about right.
