Default 04 styling cues

I was looking at my key yesterday and discovered the "obvious" styling connection to the car

It matches the brushed aliminum radio cover.

Hey! I do like the new key. I'd say that this is the first thread that makes any mention of this minor "upgrade" over the MY00-03 models.

Perhaps yet another (after the leather center console) cue that Honda took from s2ki.com owners commenting on the bland look of the US key, and upgrading to the JDM key in the past. Good going AHM!

I will not be convinced that the new key is an improvement over the 00-03 until I read it in Road and Track. I think it is a softer key, designed for lazy American wrists.

And did I mention the lowering of the redline from 9k to 8k?

You can easily mod your current key with a Rick's badge:

Actually, I always liked that our keys arn't flashy "S2000 keys". Just think, if you ever drop them or miss place them the finder of them won't know that they go to a really nice car. just my .02 cents

I like the boring key.

Given the odds that my S2000 will be the only S2000 in a public area, if my key's laying around a gym floor or on top of a Starbucks counter, I don't want people to know which vehicle it starts.

With that said, if I had the "fancy" key, I wouldn't take the time or effort to switch back to "boring".

Aye, if you drop keys and someone else found it, they would check the civics and accords... hopefully pass up the s2k.
