Just got back from the dealer (LRH - Dallas) to pick up a brochure and found out they have their first set of '04's arriving on 9/29. Add a few days for dealer prep and that puts it at 10/1. Not sure how many are sold.

to Lute Riley. My advice is to stay away and buy your S someplace else. When I owned my Prelude, they couldn't fix it after 3 tries. Secondly they were very "HIGH pressure sales/do whatever it takes to make you sign" when I tried to buy a S 2 years ago. Their great deal was $13k profit on a 02 S and trade. A little ridiculous don't you think!? I'm through with them and will never set foot there again. Anyplace has got to be better than Lute "Rape You" Riley.

Yeah, I'm still angry with them and that they thought I was so damn dumb I would take a S for $38k and $3k less on my trade. WTF! I guess my mistake was taking my mom along as the cool head. I guess they though "Mama's boy, time to rape him and his doting mama!" Asshats!

Those 04s at Lute Riley will prolly have a couple hundred miles on em. The new 02 Suzuka Blue they got in when I was there was "Out with the General Manager for the weekend" when I wanted to see it, but they "would call him and he'd bring it back if I was a serious buyer" Ok, you want $6k over MSRP and the F'ing car is not even on the lot!? Not to mention miles being placed on it, and prolly lots of VTEC!? Those few days for prep are more likely a few days for the Lute "Rape You" managers to test em out. I really should have passed this story onto AHM, but I figured they wouldn't believe me.

$6k over MSRP
- $3 below wholesale on trade in
High Pressure Sales
Not having the car on the lot cause the manager is driving it!! Priceless

No wonder I get my cars from the dealer auctions nowdays.

Penske Honda here in Indy claims that "the 2004's will not be here until after the first of the year. We are still getting 2003's until at least December." These are also the same morons that called me and tried to tell me I was late for my "scheduled 7500 mile service" that consisted of a "brake inspection, exhaust inspection, tire inspection" and about 20 other "inspections" at a cost of over $200.

Funny how I bought my car from Lute Riley and I got great service but the high mileage on my car was weird (70). Anyways they have a 5k markup on the S.. WTF is that. I managed to bargain it down to below msrp so I got a good deal plus my salesmen was great. Provided everything I needed. Lute Riley sucks my salesman was good .

I bought my 01 with ~80 miles on it. It is faster than any other s2000 that I have driven, about 5 in total, including a 03 I drove. I'm sure my car was vteced before I bought it, and I granny drove it until 500 miles or so when I started to drive it normal.

Break in procdure is mostly a myth.

So was it just a "butt dyno" test?
