Default '06 VSC

So after Saab9-3's post, I've been wondering:

For those of you who have an '06, have any of you felt the VSC kick in yet? Has it saved you? Have you purposely overcooked it in a parking lot to see exactly how effective it is? Is it seamless?

I remember when everyone was complaining about how VSC has no place on the S2000. Can anyone WITH VSC on their S2000 share an opinion on it?

It's there to save your ass and it has saved mine already once. I usually keep it on because most of us aren't doing any aggressive driving on a daily basis. It's nice to know it's there to save you when you're not paying attention. Now, if you're out to have fun, and forget to turn it off, it's quite annoying, but with the push of a button, you can make it go away.
As far as having it on for everyday driving, it's not a problem. The only time it kicks in is if you're really pushing it hard and if your rear end cuts loose just a bit, it kicks in. But like I mentioned, just turn it off and you can slide your rear end all you want. I for one am glad it's there to watch over me when I'm not paying attention, or in case some emergency were to come up. If I had a choice to buy a S2000 with or without VSC, I'd by the one with.

It's not that intrusive. It allows as much fun as you can throw at it as long as you're driving the car and not the car driving you.

I only had it kick in twice when trying. It kicked in after I got the rear end loose. The feeling of loose rear in and the VSC kicked in and brought everything back in line.

Plus, if you want to do donuts or something crazy like that you always have an "off" button.

i don't see why you wouldn't want the option of having it. you can always turn it off!

I did wait and I love my '06. On my first drive in the mountains with the car still under 600mi, on wet roads, I saw the VSA light a few times -- even when using only 4500 rpm shift points. Still had a blast in the twisties

And . . . we '06ers have those cute little rollbar speakers, too (just a joke, please don't take this tread off on a tangent) Just saying, i like my 06 a lot just like everyine else likes their 00-05's
