Condition affects price more than model year. 08 and 09 would yield similar price in similar condition. If the 09 had wear that does not show on the 08, then the 08 will get more money on the secondary market at least. Of course, if the vehicle sat for years before it was initially sold, then lot rot sets in and certain components, seals, additional wear due to demoing, etc will affect its value. Newer is better as a generalization but does not always determine final value. Get the car that you want and be happy with it.
