Default 1/4 Mile Times

To start it off, this is the First RWD car I've had since my 77 Olds Regency Before this I've raced my old 94 GS-R and old 00 ITR.

I ONLY got three runs in the 4 hours I was at the track (yes it was somewhat busy )

The best out of all three was as follows.

R/T... .129
60'... 2.245
1/4... 14.507
MPH... 94.61

I was launching around 6k, and bogging. So on the Above mentioned run, I launched at 8k and spun the tires pretty good

That was the last run I got in, and the track closed for the season.

What I'm getting at is, why is my mph so low? I am a stock AP1 with a CAI.

I've read alot about times similar to this when I searched, but is my mph slow due to my 60ft and launch sucking?

Thanks For any help!

if u pull a 2.0 60ft, u will run 14.2 or better but ur mph should be a little higher.

your mph is dependant on your shifting pretty much.

just to give you an idea on what you can do...

i took my bone stock ap2 and did:
60' - 2.1
1/4 - 14.0
MPH - 100.3

first and only run.

You are shifting SLOWWWWW. You need to practice banging through those shifts. Make sure that the only time your hand is touching the shifter is when you shift - don't hold it there waiting to shift. Your entire body should be in preparation for the shift, and concentrate on slamming that clutch in and out as fast as possible. Watch Wisconson's shifting video - that is how you should be shifting.

You need to get that launch down better and more importantly, get your shifts done quicker. Your mph is low because of the shifting, and the weakest part of your equation.

That comment was extremely random. Nobody said you weren't
