Default 1/4 Mile times without VTEC

Ok guys what would our car roughly run in the 1/4 if we shifted right at vtec everytime?? The reason for me asking is that i dont vtec at every light, and I was just wondering without doing so what kind of times are we looking at? It seems like a dumb question to me but im curious.

Anyone?

I'm moving this to S2K talk. The Racing and Competition forum is for real racing topics please.

probably really damn slow...the S2k doesn't get fast until VTEC...

you should be the first to try it...but don't be surprised if people laugh.

Probably around 16 - 17sec range as you will need to climb all the way into 5th gear ... that means 4 gear-changes!!

16 to 17 huh? That sounds about right, which is kinda lame.

My brother actually did this with his S2000 about a year and a half ago. He did a feathered clutch takeoff and shifted exactly at 6000 rpm's every time. I can't remember the exact time he got but it was in the low 16's. He still whooped a Civic that he was racing by a couple car lengths!

I was behind a civic yesterday, all riced up, the guy gunned it from the light, I casually shifted from 1-2 at about 4000rpm I kept up EASILY, thought it was funny. It was an old CX hatch with fart can and BIG wheels hahaha.
