10lbs =1 hp?
so i have an amuse exhaust lined up in my site, 15lbs is the weight of that baby.......im sure you gain like 3-5hp mimial from the exhaust itself but what does weight to hp ratio in the s2k = to? 10lbs is 1 hp?
I spent 7 years drag racing a modified Z28. In that car:
.1 in the quarter equaled:
10hp or
100 pounds of weight or
10 degrees of outside temperature.
If you ran a 12.5 when it was 80 degrees outside, then if you ran next weekend and it was 60 degrees outside, you would run a 12.3.
If you pulled 50 pounds out, you ran .05 quicker. You get the idea. I won several national bracket racing events, so you had to know what each variable did to the car. I had a mini weather station so I could also factor in humidity, barometric pressure, etc.

1 hp in the s2000 must pull 11.7+ lbs.
So if you saved 15 lbs you got a free horsepower and a half. =-)
