That is a good price if its a good shop.
White might even be slidely cheaper than other colors. I was told that dark grey metallic is one o fhte hardest to match. If I was you I'd try to have them match the hood without blending into the fenders...that is if its important to you to keep as much as possible original. The quote should include clear coat, too.

question on blending the fender paint.... do they just spray over the original clearcoat and then clearcoat the new paint?

Does that cause uneven-ness?

I don't know. Seems expensive to me...but then again, I live in Louisville, KY. I had a bumper painted and it only cost $350.

The Bumper quote itself was $370 the hood is the extra $830 w/ blending fenders
making the total $1200.

blending into the fender should not be uneven.
they probalby snad the top of the clear coat and sort of gradient out. then clear coat it and polish it. you should not feel or see anything.
bumper alone is always much cheaper. they take it of and therfore the set-up cost is low ( no covering and taping of the rest of the car)also, since its a different material you typically cannot expect a 100% color match. even the cars for the factory have slide color variances.

Why is the hood so much more expensive? Is it because of the fenders? Because if you are just painting the hood separately, it doesn't seem like it would be much harder than a bumper..

the front bumper seems like a fair price for a good shop....the hood is crazy.

I just had a front and rear bumper bumper painted and fitted for $800: PERFECT COLOR MATCH.

Rear bumper was ap2 oem, front was aftermarket and needed some fitment help.

I wouldn't expect your estimate to be much more than that.
