Is 14.3 an average time in the quarter mile for a stock S2000? Has anyone gone under 14 with a stock S2K?

i think 14.3 is kinda high... i pull a 14.3 with mods (intake and exhaust) but then again i do have one of the weaker s2k's out there. 184hp, 129tq so i think with a good driver the 200hp+ s2k's should pull 14flat to 13.8 stock. i cant wait to get mine to 200hp+ for sure i know i'll hit 13's

I had already posted once but my time is 14.77, which to say i'm not the best driver and i dumped at 5500 no burnouts at 31 psi in the tires with air box taken off completely stock, hope that helps

 

I think 14.3 is an average S2000 driver, yes. Those more experienced with dragging might pull it closer to 14. Nothing to be ashamed about, a 14.3.

 

Motor Trend magazine claimed they got a 0-60 time of 5.2 and a 1/4 mile time of 13.8

 

but keep in mind they probably went through 2 1/2 clutches :-).....and plus they get paid to do shit like that....HIRE ME!!!

 

what gear do you guys hit at the quarter mile mark?

4th gear will take you to about 110-115 (always hard to tell because of the tach delay). A stock S2000 will trap at 95-97+ MPH, a SC S2000 will trap at 105-107+ MPH, and a TC S2000 will trap at 110-113+ MPH. These numbers are just averages, but could vary per driver.
