"Turbo Dave"...no turbo as we didn't have them back then....just his moniker. Car was stock. Great guy who lived in europe.

176 mph.....he had more to go but haired out when he passed two trucks....balls grew weak. But then again he has video evidence of going 176 mph and larger balls then anyone past or present on this board. The video is an S2000 Icon if you can find it. He was in europe so you'll need to push the mph/kph conversion button.

As I said before the guy went 176 mph in the video, HOWEVER, there is about a 10% difference in what the odometer shows then how fast he's really going (at that speed) so he could have been going as slow as 160 mph

176 minus 167 = 9

9 divided by 167 = .053

According to the gear calculator, 176 mph at 9,000 rpm's would be a descrepency of 5%

I've redlined in 5th gear a couple of times but never had the room to continue on in 6th.

What kind of distance do you folks think you ate up getting to the 150 to 160 mph numbers you're quoting? I just can't imagine doing it anywhere near the area I live in. It's just too congested.

Steve R.
