Default 18's

o.k. im looking into getting some 18's for the 2k and im wondering if any of you that have 18's have experienced any performance setbacks since you got your wheels ive hear people complain on other cars about how heavy 18's make their ca slower.....any thoughts?

It's all for show and none for go.

The rims will slow you down and give you a rougher ride. that extra inch in diameter of rim is alot heavier than rubber and air... And people will laugh at you if you take it to the track like that...

i dont really plan on taking it to the track much i really want a clean look with a 1" drop and oem front lip and side strakes. BUT if its gonna relaly change my driving experience for the worse then maybe ill reconsider.

When I had my rsx-s I ran 14.7 w/ 18s on, and 14.6 w/ stock 16s.

here's someone who really knows his stuff.....



I think he forgot how much tires have an effect on most of the go.

It's not just the total weight of the rim. The further away the mass is from the center, the more it slows you down. If you got the same model rim in 16" instead of 18" it would be even lighter than stock.

You didn't have the exact same model tire/tire pressure on both rims did you?
