Default 1st Oil Change Question

I'm coming up on 1 year of ownership and will have just 3000 miles accumulated. I've kept the oil level topped but have not had it changed in order to maximize use of the break-in oil. Feel like I can't wait any longer for the 1st change. Opinions?

I was in a similar boat and changed the oil after about 7 months. Oil breaks down with time and collects moisture.

Change it with regular oil. Switch to synthetic after you have stopped burning which is usually around 7500-10000 miles.

Yep, and you might want to change it every 6 months, regardless of milage, for the reasons meat mentioned. Lots of opinions on when to change to synthetic- could try a search for first oil change and get lots of input.

It's time for an oil change, Go with Mobil one. MY OPINION
always stick to 10W-30 no matter what type of oil you choose (read the manual) unless you live in very cold conditions.

I would suggest that you not use Mobil One yet, as that is a synthetic.
