Default 1st problem with my 06 Rio S2K !

I just picked up the car not even 2 hours ago, and the convertable top will not automatically lift up to close??? I have the ebrake up of course, but it needs a lil push to actually close...this is not good

give it a chance. i dont fully understand what the problem is, but it's probably a misunderstanding.

Is the gap more than an inch or so? Sounds like the top needs to be adjusted, or the material is stiff from being so new. Is it warm out?

I just left a message on the sales managers cell phone 10 min. ago.....the top lifts up like an inch but that is it....it needs a lift to get it to close by itself, I am thinking it needs a new hydraulic lift or something ???

When they fix/adjust it, keep that receipt.

If they make an adjustment 'off the books', get something in writing describing the problem and their fix.

Some other dude just had problems getting them to adjust the top (claiming someone leaned on it or otherwise broke it).

If you do have future problems, you can make the case that the top had problems on delivery in case they suggest you abused it somehow.
