Seriously, what were the writers on while writing that line.

Pretty sad that $100k invested s2k barely beat that jetta... man we have crappy cars (major sarcasm intended). Also, judging by the time it took them to get from start to finish, they pulled off a 25 second quarter mile!
They were going so fast time seemed to stand still!

actually i remember reading about the car in a Sport Compact mag back in the day.. and apparently the pink s2k was the fastest out of all the cars in the movie including the r34 skyline and Supra..

$100,000 in an s2k hahahahahaha
I know the car in F&F was set-up like this, but $100,000 in an s is possible

New s2000 ~ 35,000

ASM full carbon fiber widebody ~ 50,000

Spoon/ Js Motor ~ $10,000

Wheels, tires, hardtop, exhaust, etc...

You could be over $100,000 quick

I don't know what you guys are talking about. The first Fast & the Furious had a HONDA 2000!

The quote wasn't saying the S had $100,000 worth of work all around.

When Brian Spilner is talking to Jesse, he says "Don't do it Jesse! I bet he's got more than $100,000 under the hood of that car!"

Basically stating that the engine had $100,000 worth of work done.

He said $100 grand "under the hood" of the car...

So what can $90,000 get him?

You can't fit the ASM body kit under the hood though.
