Default 2 odd issues?

Well the car has been treating me very well since I did all the necessary preventative maintenance when I first got the car in March.

Recently 2 odd issues popped up:

1) I was jacking up the car in the garage, the right side was already supported by jackstands (F/R). I was jacking it up at the front left at one of the subframe mounts when all of a sudden the emergency blinkers flashed 3 times. Has this ever happened to anyone? Or am I the lucky one?

2) I noticed the passenger rear corner of the soft top is delaminating from the outside. Is there anything I can do to prevent the tear from getting worse? Here are pictures showing what I mean:

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

No my alarm was disabled, it does not have an auto relock function. I know ugh, I did 2 coats of aerospace 303 a few months ago. I will probably need to do it again before I put it away for the winter

The S has an autolock feature. If you unlock the doors with the fob, but never open a door, it will relock in 30 sec. Basically if you unlock, you have 30 sec to open the door, or it will lock itself.

This is not a feature of the optional factory alarm, its just part of the cars lock setup.

Even if the doors aren't actually locked, if you press unlock on the fob, and don't open the door, it will lock itself, even though it wasn't previously locked.

Oh I see. I guess it retained this feature, even with an aftermarket alarm installed? That could explain it then.

And thanks Bill, I will buy a tube of that tonight and use it asap. Thanks everyone for the help

Stormsure will not prevent it from getting worst. Nothing you can really do. It's just a matter of time. My top has several small tears now. I've patched them up and there's no leaks but I will be looking at replacing the top next season.

Three blinks? Is the alarm factory or aftermarket? I'd say it's a switch in an aftermarket alarm to indicate a tilt condition like tow-away alarm.

The top is age - it is slowly getting soft and gooey I'd say - what is it about 10 years old?
