2000 with 18,500 miles
I just purchased a 2002 Suzuka Blue S2k with 15 k miles in as good of condition Imaginable for the year. Dealer started at 23k but we settled on 17k as it had been on the lot for a few months. I had been driving family SUVs and work trucks for 40 years so this is my first sports car in a long time. It took a few hundred miles to adjust but I just smile at the thought of getting in! I have noticed that the cars do not seem to sell quickly but the owners I have talked uniformly love them.
two years ago I was prepared to pay $22k (Asking price) for a 2000 with ~10k miles. Single owner in pristine condition older guy etc. So your deal doesn't sound bad at all considering the market has gone up 10-30% depending on where you are.
Note: The value of a low mileage car only lasts as long as the low mileage lasts.

Sounds like a good deal to me. If you haven't already done so, you might want to review the "what to look for" thread on this site. It seems likely that being a first year model would add to this car's collectibility/value as more time passes if that is of concern to you.
As a point of reference, we purchased our 2005 in Grand Prix White this past summer. It was all original with 24K miles. There was some minor scraping underneath the front bumper but otherwise the car was in mint condition. The price was $21,500 and I felt it was a good deal relative to what comparable S2000s were selling for here in the Pacific Northwest (pricing does tend to vary based on location).

Plain & simple Kidrock, I want it. Not sure where you are but I'm in a position to purchase today and if you are not going to pull the trigger right away, these don't last, can you PM me, email/text or call me right away before it is sold to someone else?

You don't find low milage cars everyday. If that is the year/color you want, just get the darn thing. Even if it might be a little above what you think it should be, you will kick yourself later if you let this go. You will never see a car like that again, most likely.
Shoot, even if you change your mind in a few short miles, you can probably re-coup your costs if not find someone who would pay more.
A one owner car, an older gentleman, with those low miles: you know it has been cared for.
