Anyone ever hear of that place (mcclatchie.com) before?
A quick glance at their \"reviews\" section shows nothing other than the S2000 article and a look at their home page also shows nothing.
My guess is that this is part wishful thinking and part elaborate hoax.
Very nice work to put that together, but I'm raising the bullshit flag on this one. Sorry guys, but it ain't so.
man, i'm no forum expert, but this subject had been in like 50 million threads, you guys should use search, or just look at the first page of threads and you'll see it's been discussed many times. just a thought...

Yes, it's bogus, but I have to give some props to the guy for a fairly well written (aside from a few small errors/typos) preview. Aside from the errors (420 volt electrical system should be 42 volts, the limit is 280 PS and not 280 HP, and Honda's destination charge is $460 for the 2003 model year), there is really nothing wrong with the preview. Would Honda strap an I6 into the S2000? Doubt it. But the general ideas in the article are consistent with what would have to be done to really make the S2000 haul, similar to the proposal thread that Sev initiated.
Maybe it's just my wishful thinking though
