Hey Just bought an '00 S.. and my console around the shift knob is missing some paint.. Was wondering if the 04 console would work.. also where are people getting the plastic piece that flips down in front of the radio that looks like the 04's (silver s2000 door)

Both those MY04 parts can be adapted to fit previous years. The radio door is about $50, but the center console is gonna set you back closer to $500!!

You're better off just replacing the existing console. They can be found used pretty cheap ($50-100), and usually in good condition. As others have said, you can use rubbing alcohol on the ring aroung the shifter to remove the paint/clear coat. It leaves a nice shiny finish, but has to be wiped off constantly since you just removed the clear coat. Kind of a pain.

actually the MY04 console can be had for like $125. then you need the cupholder assembly...$125. then you need misc parts...say $50.
