I recently got my insurance bill from Metropolitan

It comes with the list of high theft vehicles.

The 2001 model made the list but the 2000 model (which I have) did not.

Can anyone else confirm this?

I think the 2000 has managed to fly below the insurance radar because it was so new to the market. After all, who had ever heard of a high-performance Honda automobile?

The S2000 is the cheapest car I've ever insured for full coverage.

I have not heard of any S2000 thefts nor have I seen it on any list of thefts. I would question the insurance company.

I traded in a 98 Accord Coupe V6 for the S2000 (2000) and my insurance only went up $60 per 6 months. They told me it was all based on sticker price. Geico is my provider.

My annual premium only went up $50 from a '97 Prelude Type SH to the 2001 S2000 (same coverage on both cars). And that's in NJ!

My 2000 S2K insurance cost 75% of the cost of my '96 Z28, a pleasant surprise.
