Actually it will help my claim. The fewer of these made the more it is worth. It is much more difficult for me to replace this same combo car. Being worth something and selling something are two different things though, I realize. The insurance company would love to feed me that line of crap of they are all the same.

But you know the insurance companies have no problem charing you more of a rate for a vehicle that is a rarity for a bit more....just exercising my right to do the same.

The insurance company (at fault's ins, not mine) has to put me back "whole" in this car. They will, I am sure. I have been through this one time prior (not this car) and forced the insurance company to be fair with me and they did. It got a little ugly, but nonetheless, worked out.

It's all in how firm you stand, you know. I just need as many concrete facts as I can get before I go in fighting.

Dimished value insurance claim means that my car worth one dollar amount the day before it was wrecked and the day it was wrecked it was worth another.

Anytime a vehicle is wrecked, it loses a good bit of value. Therefore, the insurance company has to give you the difference of value in cash in order to make you whole again in your vehicle.

And... people.... I am NOT asking for anl individual hands-up for those owning a berlina/red S.... I just wanted to know if any of you knew where I could get my hands on actual production numbers.

I have since found a couple of telephone numbers to Honda HQ. I will let you all know what those production numbers are as soon as I find out. Just FYI.

As I am sure I am not the ONLY person who would like to know this info.

 

Good luck finding the interior color breakdown stats. As best I can tell, there has never been any official Honda information on production numbers with exterior AND interior color combos. I've been curious too, as I have a one year only combo silverstone/all red. 02 white/all red, 02 black/ all red, 03 silver/all red seem to be rare combos. Let us know if you find any stats.

 

^ You are correct, unfortunately. I have been in contact with Honda and the factory does not keep production numbers. I find that a bit odd. But, what do I know.

Maybe I will just make up a number for the adjuster
