2002 Honda S2000 Number Plate Light. Am I missing something?
Hello All,
I am new to this forum and I just got a 2002 Honda s2000, so I am not too familiar with this car yet. After researching for endless hours, I thought that I will ask someone that knows more about S2000s.
After purchasing a car I have noticed that there is something missing around the number plate light, right above the license plate (Very hidden, so unless you kneel underneath, you won't see it). Am I missing a plastic/assembly/part or am I over paranoid? Please let me know.
Looks like you have a JDM bumper which means that there should be a bracket on which to mount the plate for it to poke through the bumper. Otherwise it can just be stuck onto the plate recess directly.

Hello MattyH,
Thank you for the quick reply. I am not sure if the picture depicts the location, but it is the rear bumper. Let me look for it more and see if I can find it.
rpg51, thanks for the response. I am not sure if it is issue or not, which is the reason but I would like to clarify.
So, let me explain a little bit differently. In the rear bumper:
Above the License Plate(next to light), it looks like something is missing.. Is it or am I overthinking it? ... I live in Seattle area, where it rains a lot, just want to make sure to baby this car as much as I can, so it last me a long time
Thank you again for the reply and please let me know what are you thoughts. Could you take the picture of that area on your car and send it to me?
It's definitely normal, I noticed it the first time I washed mine and thought it was weird too. I wouldnt be worried about water, it is going to get up in there regardless.
