Default 2002 Midwest Roadster Autocross

I am trying to organize an autocross scheduled for Sept 1 (sunday of labor day wknd), and I am going to have my friend pitch the idea to the SCCA board soon. The board will want to see that people will come to this event before they decide to sanction it. I would like to know who here would be interested in joining some miatas, MR2's, boxsters, vettes, etc. at Grissom AFB in Peru, IN for this event if the SCCA board does, in fact, decide to sanction it.

peru is 2.5 hours from cincinnati, so add that to however long it takes you to get to cinti, unless there is a more direct route (which there probably is)

Peru is directly an hour north on US 31 of Indianapolis. It's somewhat inbetween Indianapolis and South Bend. I'd guess it's about another 30 minutes to Peru from Louisville as it is from Cincy.

Saab, if you'd like I'll post a map with directions onto a web site. I'd love to get together with a bunch of s2k's.

About 3 hours and 45 minutes, give or take a few minutes.

Saab9-3, you may want to check this one out and save yourself a lot of driving. This autocross is set for 8/25 and it's just south of Columbus, IN at an old airport. It's several hours closer than Peru. Here's the link: http://personals.galaxyinternet.net/rotary/cscc.htm

Sounds great, I WOULD be there but that day my local region (NWOR) is hosting an auto-x at the best location we have. We get access to the Toledo Express Airport, and I think it is a 1/4mile square of flat white concrete. I cant wait, last year they rebuilt one of the nationals courses there, and it had a drag start. From what I hear there is even a possibility for some 3rd gear action! Cant Wait! FYI, if you don't know www.myautoevents.com is the best way to find SCCA events. Have fun

I called caleb and he emailed the SCCA board about the event and he is meeting with them next tuesday. The date has been chaged to october 12, though, due to scheduling conflicts. The site will still be Grissom AFB. I should know by next tuesday whether or not this will be an SCCA sanctioned event.
