Default 2002 S2000??

Am I gullible, misinformed, misguided or a little of all??

I bought my s2k 3/00...a long time ago by s2k standards.
At the time I was told by 2 different dealers that the S2k would be a limited edition..not only in the number produced but also how long it was to be produced...I was told by both that it would only be produced as a 2000 and 2001 model...That was it.

What are the facts here??

Sorry to break it to you but in the whole spectrum of honesty, salespeople are just a little below politicians... they'll both tell you whatever you want to hear.

The '02 model has been a topic of great speculation for quite a while and all signs are pointing to the fact that it will be made and will also be made for as long as Honda can still sell them.

Sorry dude...but that's just dealer BS talkin'. Fact is that outside of those bad boys in Tochigi...no one can tell the future of your car. If you want to guess though...the rest of the Honda's have a 5 year life cycle now. So....maybe....

Pick up the latest edition of Car and Driver (I believe) and it shows and talks about the new color, glass window, and upgraded new stereo system.

Thanks

From the posts thus far in reply, no one has a definite handle on the car's future. Part of me definitely wants to see the car live on..and I would love to have an s2k w/glass rear window, a better stereo and some more colors...although what color would we need? I love all the current colors and cant think of one I would really want to see....British Racing Green?? I have a hard time picturing that.

The other part of me...the selfish side, wants to be able to say to the rest of the public, as I cruise by, "Nanny Nanny Poo-Poo".

P.S. I know the folks at Honda are still wondering what ever happened to ol 5738...it must have been their favorite.

As for the honesty and integrity of our local Honda Sales Staff...

I have 22 yrs in the Auto Finance Industry...Just in case anyone is interested, Car Salesman aren't any more honest to their financing sources than they are to the Customer...probably worse. You wouldnt believe some of the scams they have pulled, or tried to pull over the years...I am not singling out Honda by the way.

First time poster, here.

Can anyone speculate what the price will be on this 2002 model? I've been saving for 6 months to buy my first new car, and I have my eyes set on the S2000. What should the MSRP be on the '02, and will it be possible to even get my hands on one for MSRP?
